Savanna Goats (also known as savannah goats) were developed in unfavorable conditions in South Africa resulting in superior hardiness. They are large carcass meat goats known for exceptional mothering. Due to the limited numbers of imported animals, Savannas still remain rare in the USA. While Savannas have been successfully crossed with other breeds we believe it was well matched with the hardy Pape Spanish bloodline.
